We’re happy you decided to start making your own tools and analyses locally. Our series of DIY tools allows you to collect, analyse and filter water samples. Thanks to these tools you’ll be able better understand the water quality and take action in your neighbourhood based on monitoring results.
BUCKET COLLECTOR
This bucket is a perfect tool to help you to start collecting water from water streams in safe conditions. Like the other tools it is made with inexpensive material such as a plastic bottle and material available in any kind of hardware store.
RAIN HARVESTER
The rain harvester will allow you to collect free water from rain. Connect it to your rain pipe in order to collect water for watering your plants for example.
BIO FILTER
The water filter is composed of separate layers of natural materials that you can find in your surroundings like gravel, sand and activated charcoal. This method will filter impurities in the water and increase its quality.
MAKE THE TOOLS!
These tools enable anyone to monitor the basic characteristics of water. They are made from basic materials, affordable and easy to make. We created a series of video tutorials that will help you make your own tools.

OPEN SPACE
As part of the process of developing this project, we hold a free open space on Fridays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. when we have spare time. It is a space where everyone can contribute, hack water, make tools and collaborate. The Open Lab is located in Bamhaus and includes a Maker Space where you can experiment with fellow people and collect water from the nearby river.
